World Championship Of Online Poker

Het World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) is een door Pokerstars gesponsorde serie van online toernooien. Het werd voor het eerst georganiseerd in 2002 met als idee een online equivalent te krijgen voor de World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. De WCOOP werd al snel een groot succes en in 2005 was de toernooiserie het grootste Online pokerevenement en het op twee na grootste pokerevenement in het algemeen.

Omdat Pokerstars het World Series of Poker gevoel wilde vertalen naar de Online wereld, kreeg elke WCOOP winnaar tot 2015 een gouden bracelet toegestuurd. De bracelet was 14-karaats goud en werd gegraveerd met de username van de desbetreffende persoon. Pokerstars is hiermee opgehouden na 2015 om minder kosten te maken voor de series.

WCOOP 2018

In september 2018 vond tijdens de WCOOP een verandering plaats. Alle evenementen werden, net zoals bij de SCOOP, onderverdeeld in Low, Medium, en High Toernooien. Hierdoor werd de WCOOP aantrekkelijk om te spelen voor spelers van elke niveau. De Nederlandse winnaars hebben we hieronder voor jullie neergezet. Net zoals in 2017 wist een Nederlander het Main Event te winnen. Zijn username was wann2play. Wie er achter de naam schuilgaat is nog onbekend.
