WSOP Circuit Rozvadov van 5 tot en met 25 januari 2022
Van woensdag 5 tot en met dinsdag 25 januari kun je in het King's Resort in Rozvadov aan de World Series of Poker Circuit meedoen. Gezien het dalende aantal corona besmettingen gaat de organisatie er gewoon van uit dat het complete speelschema in de normale hoedanigheid kan worden afgewerkt. Op nieuwjaarsdag wordt er alvast afgetrapt met een speciaal "New Years Warm-up" en niet veel later zullen ook de eerste toernooien van de World Series of Poker Circuit van start gaan.
In 2020 maakte de wereld kennis met het corona virus, waardoor de verschillende lockdowns niet veel live werd gespeeld. In Rozvadov viel het onderaan de streep nog wel mee, want na de eerste lockdown ging het King's Resort al snel weer open, waardoor er vanaf mei toch nog meerdere grote pokerfestivals werden georganiseerd. Na de Dutch Classics die in september 2020 werd gehouden, gingen de deuren van Leons speelparadijs toch weer dicht, maar vanaf mei 2021 werd het aanbod langzaam weer opgestart. In de maanden die zouden volgen werd onder anderen tweede keernde Dutch Classics en twee keer de Benelux Classics georganiseerd.
Vanaf de derde week van oktober liep het aantal corona besmettingen in Tsjechië weer dusdanig hard op, waardoor er meerdere malen nieuwe restricties werden ingevoerd. Uiteindelijk konden de poker festivals wel gewoon doorgaan, zij het met een iets ander speelschema dan van te voren gepland was.

Hoewel het in Europa op dit moment niet echt goed gaat door de Omicron variant, is het aantal besmettingen in Tsjechië de afgelopen weken juist weer afgenomen. Het King's Resort heeft daarom een overvol speelschema voor de eerste maanden van 2022. Zo staan achtereenvolgens de WSOP Circuit, European Poker Sport Championship, Euro Poker Millions, Dutch Classics ,German Poker Days en het Spanish Poker Festival op het programma.
Het nieuwe jaar wordt afgetrapt met de World Series of Poker Circuit. Dit prestigieuze poker festival heeft een totale gegarandeerde prijzenpot van €3.000.000. Het speelschema bestaat uit vijf verschillende ring events, waaronder het €1.700 Main Event dat op donderdag 20 januari begint.
